An hour of pampering? A day of relaxation? A special skin care or beauty regime? Denver has more than a dozen spas which promise sheer indulgence for business and holiday travelers.
Here are five top Denver spas, located around the Mile High City:
Renaissance Aveda Spa & Salon is situated on the ground floor of Hotel Monaco, a stylish boutique hotel in the center of downtown Denver. But its tranquil earth-tone treatment rooms are a world away from the busy city streets outside.
Aveda's plant-based products are used in a range of purifying skin treatments and facials. Rejuvenating massage and body care treatments use water, stones and essential oils to bring deep relaxation.
Not to be missed is Total Body Elixir, an amazing hydrotherapy treatment. Following an Ayurvedic massage with key element oils and exfoliation with aqua therapy sea salts, seven Vichy shower heads are directed at the major chakra points along the spine for an energizing warm water massage.

The Spa at the Brown Palace is the latest addition to Denver's grande dame establishment. It opened in 2006 in a space off the atrium lobby which once housed Turkish baths back in 1892.
The spa's special soaks draw natural spring water from the artesian well which has always provided water for this historic hotel. Waterfalls also form part of the spa's decor.
Men as well as women receive special attention here, with a private gentlemen's area and several facial, body and grooming treatments designed just for them. Other custom treatments were created for the Colorado climate. But the star attraction is the Couple's Suite, featuring a private soak, romantic lunch and side-by-side massages.
